Allora
Allora
The Allora Field is located east of the Balol field and 8km North West of Meshana town, India. It was discovered in January 1967 by ONGC from the Meshana-2 well. To date, a further three wells have been drilled in the field – Meshana-7, -16 and Dhijoj-4. All three wells were subsequently abandoned and no further development drilling took place. The Meshana-2 well was reactivated in July 2004 and production from the Allora field recommenced in October 2004 at an initial oil rate of ~6 bopd. As of September 2013, cumulative production was ~10000 stb out of proved in-place reserves of 3.3 MMstb of Oil. Since GNRL Oil & Gas Ltd. has become operator of the field, production has been intermittent. In April 2013,GNRL Oil & Gas Ltd. has successfully carried out Hydrofrac job in AL-1 and put the well under production from september’2013 by installing PCP. Currently the well is under testing and evaluation.
As the new 3D data is currently being processed GNRL Oil & Gas Ltd. is in the process of evaluating future drilling locations with no firm plans in place. In addition, there are only five 2D seismic lines covering the block
