Unawa
The Unawa Field is located northwest of Meshana town, Gujarat State, India. It was discovered in June 1984 by ONGC with the Unawa-4 well. To date and in total, eight exploration wells have been drilled in the field – Unawa-1 to -8. All of the wells were dry except for Unawa-4, which was oil bearing. Presently, only wells Unawa-4 and -8 lie within the current block boundary. The Unawa block covers an area of 5.75 km². The Unawa-4 well was reactivated in December 2004 and production from the Unawa field recommenced at an initial oil rate of ~14 bopd. As of August, 2013, cumulative oil production is 62,000 stb.
